MANSEHRA: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Captain (r) Safdar has not been arrested even after accountability court’s verdict on Avenfield referen
ce.
Earlier on Friday Accountability court had announced its verdict sentencing t
he accused Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Captain (r) Safdar 10 years, 7 years and 1 ye
ar imprisonment respectively.
Nawaz along with daughter Maryam Nawaz are currently in London, tending to their ailing wife and mother Kulsoom Nawaz since June 14.
However, it has been questioned why the police have
not yet arrested Captain (r) Safdar who is residing in his hometown (Mansehra) even after the verdict.
According to Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Hazara Alam Shinwari Safdar’s arrest warrant has
not yet been issued to the police. He added that whenever the arrest warrant is iss
ued, PML-N leader will be arrested at once.
